Your kid is away from home, life happens.
A local parent, here to provide friendly and dependable support for your peace of mind.
How it Works:
I know how stressful it can be having your child away from home. I’m here to help with just about anything that might come up.
Some examples of services provided:
Local hotel and Airbnb references. I’ll go check them out and give honest feedback.
Restaurant and bar recommendations. The Binghamton area has some great (and not so great) options.
Local neighborhood information. Let me go check out those off-campus apartments, there are some great (and really, really lousy) options. Renting in Binghamton is an adventure.
Assistance with student car problems. I know a ton of local mechanics, tire places, oil change guys, etc. Like anywhere else, Binghamton is full of shysters. I’ll help you avoid them.
Pickup and delivery of just about anything. Furniture, small appliances, food, prescriptions, birthday cakes, you name it. I’ll find your kid and make sure the item gets to them, I know the campus. Happy picture upon delivery included.
Recommendations on local day trips, area attractions, etc. The area has some beautiful parks, ski areas, u pick farms, and fun stuff for kids. Avoid a frustrating day and make the time worthwhile.
Assistance with parking. Binghamton can be a nightmare, especially in the downtown area. I know the secrets!
Rides to or from the bus station, doctors appointments, etc.
Assistance with shipping. On campus mail-rooms can be a hassle. Ship it to me, I’ll deliver. Especially relevant with food items requiring refrigeration if your kid has dietary issues. (Been there, not fun). Let’s talk.
Help with move in and move out. Hauling to and from storage facilities not a problem.
Help with off-campus apartment issues and security deposit repairs. Bing landlords play lots of games, let me be your local representative.
Finally, and most importantly, I’d love to be a smiling, friendly, reassuring face for your kid. I know college life can be lonely and tough at times.
